Bill of Materials Builder (BOM) / Manufacturing Management Team and Manufacturing Manager - Manufacturing - Axapta
Worcestershire, Pershore
£25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
Our client is looking to recruit a Bill of Materials Builder (BOM) - Purchasing Manager.
Skills required:
* Experience in a manufacturing environment is fundamental, preferably specifically in the packaging industry although the latter is not essential. A manufacturing mentality not a sales one is a must.
* Computer literacy to a high standard – especially a high skill level on MRP systems and Excel
* A logical, practical thinker with an enquiring mind that looks for problems, sources them and finds solutions
* A flexible nature – Can accept moving goalposts, is comfortable asking questions, taking on board existing systems and negotiating changes with other departments
* Ability to negotiate between departments to find best solution
ROLES :
Axapta :
- Bill Of Materials (BOM) Builder
- Purchasing using system Net requirements
- System updating – Lead times, Calculations, weights, contacts etc.
Supplier Contact :
- Purchasing
- Progress Chasing of film deliveries
Operations :
- Film availability, amendments to BOM etc.
Technical :
- Identification of film/Interpreting requirements
- Matching above and locating on Axapta
- Converting the job requirement from BOM Form into a working
BOM
- Lamination testing Administration
- Customer complaint co-ordination :
* Taking initial call & recording
* Identifying persons responsible & briefing of problem
* Progress chasing corrective action : Reprint, Rework, Credit
* Raising NCR's – to QS Dept
