Our client provides a complete range of consultancy, delivery and support services, allowing them to offer clients specific areas of expertise, or full end to end solutions. Their industry knowledge is extensive, with particular depth in the public sector, finance, telecoms, utilities and manufacturing - meaning they don't just understand the technical issues that clients face, but also the business context. The company employs approximately 900 employees in the UK (9,200 in Europe) across sites in Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh, London, Horsham, Oxford, Birmingham, Stevenage and Glasgow.
With preferably 2 years' experience (a minimum of 1 year), you will be responsible for
- Test preparation documentation (test case suites, scripts and procedures) for simple to moderately complex test cases produced to the required standard
- Test cases interpreted and executed to the required standard and timescales
- Effective comparison with pre-determined criteria of documented test failures and successes
- Effective logging and monitoring of incidents arising during testing
Applicants will hold the following key skills:
- SQL
- UNIX
- Oracle
- Experience in Financial Industry
- Test Director
The following skills and attributes are also desirable, and hence beneficial to your application:
- ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing
- Systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving
- Possesses effective oral and written communication skills in formal as well as informal settings
- Establishes working relationships and maintaining contacts with people from a wide variety of backgrounds
- Have a flexible approach to projects.
- Ability to plan and control own work, selecting and utilising effectively appropriate methods, procedures, tools, equipment and standards, to meet all targets set
- Ability to rapidly absorb rapidly and apply effectively, new technical information as required.
