Field Engineering Manager – Field Service Manager
London, (Glasgow, London or Manchester)
Up to £60,000 plus car, bonus and benefits
Our client is one of the most technically advanced telecommunications providers in the UK. Their network, comprising of 7,300km of fibre optic cable, with more than 100 points of presence, provides services in key business centres across the country. They have 15 fully constructed metropolitan area networks deploying services supported by various switching protocols – ATM, IP and MPLS, for example.
With more than 2,750 Ethernet connections, providing services for prestigious clients, our client has more than 35,000sq ft of web hosting capacity across Britain, and there are 20 UK-wide sites where it can provide its customers' hosting needs close to their premises.
The role of Field Engineering Manager is a new opportunity reporting to the Head of Network Build. You will be responsible for the management of a large, geographically spread, multi-discipline team who will deliver projects from infrastructure design through to customer installation.
Successful candidates will:-
* Be a highly effective manager, capable of successfully motivating and driving a large disparate team to deliver high volume, large scale customer projects within deadline
* Have the ability to develop and maintain internal business relationships, adept at influencing and gaining buy-in at senior management level
* Be capable of developing and implementing change programmes, reviewing current work flows and driving changes to improve efficiency and synergy savings
* Possess experience of project financial control, project budgets and cost management
* Demonstrate the ability to review tactical input and feed this into strategic planning
* Display all of the personal qualities commensurate with this level of role
