RAN PERFORMANCE SENIOR ENGINEER
Our Client is a leading international mobile telecommunications provider. Due to an exciting new project, they are now urgently looking for a RAN Performance Senior Engineer for a ten-month contract.
Your role will be to deliver the best radio network performance from the existing network and to manage the 2G and 3G ‘Radio Access Network' parameters, feature and frequency deployment.
Applicants should be of graduate calibre, with a degree in an electronics or telecoms related subject. You should have a minimum of four years experience within the telecoms industry, a good understanding of GSM, GPRS and UMTS system architecture, principles of 2G/3G Radio Access Network Design, experience with GSM & UMTS Network Prediction & Planning tools including Pegasos and Design, experience with Radio Access Network parameter and optimisation techniques, experience in Radio Access Network fault investigation and resolution, strong computer literacy, experience with some or all of following; MS-Access, Unix, C/C++, Oracle SQL, Web design and a good knowledge of Ericsson/Nortel/Nokia associated management systems and techniques. It would be advantageous for you to have an understanding of ATM protocols and signalling and a knowledge of GSM, GPRS& UMTS Network statistical counters.
