*** SURVEILLANCE AND REPAIR CONTROLLER (RAN) ***
Our Client is a leading international mobile telecommunications provider. Due to an exciting new project, they are now looking for a Surveillance and Repair Controller.
Your role will be to monitor the availability and performance of the Radio Access Network comprised of 2G, 2.5G and 3G equipment (BTS, Node-B, BSC, RNC, and Power) and all associated transmission infrastructure (radio and leased line), to perform 1st line diagnostics resulting in remote restoration or in the raising of a trouble ticket to the appropriate resolving agency and to provide fault co-op to resolving agents.
Applicants should have an HND/Degree or equivalent in telecommunications or a related subject, with 2 Years experience in Network Management, excellent understanding of GSM architecture and functionality, good understanding of digital transmission principles PDH & SDH and good oral and written communication. It would also be an advantage for you to have experience in an operational role in a mobile network, operational experience of digital cross-connect systems and a good knowledge of GPRS and UMTS.
