However , they maintain that the best thing they have ever built is their reputation, with repeat business accounts for a large proportion of their turnover. They are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Liverpool office, to work on projects throughout Merseyside and the surrounding area. (mainly new build and refurb within the commercial, multistory residential and industrial sectors) ÂJob Title:âÔÔQuantity Surveyor ÂJob PurposeâÔResponsible for all the financial aspects/control of a particular contract (value up to £5m) and ensures the achievement of acceptable settlements in relation to the financial/contractual aspects of the contract. ÂCore Tasks âqÔTo ensure receipt of proper and regular payments in line with expenditure qÔReport to Senior Management on the financial/contractual situation of projects qÔEnsure proper cashflow (positive) by monthly payments and settlement of final account qÔAchieve contract profit qÔAccurately report the contract position to management qÔTo ensure the Company is not put at risk in carrying out the contract and the account is finalised within acceptable time scales. qÔEnsure sub contractors are procured to programme qÔTrain staff in all aspects of commercial management qÔTo understand, prepare and defend contractual positions qÔDemonstration of sound working knowledge of claims, contracts, methods of measurement etc qÔResponsible for the maintenance of best working practices to ensure a safe working environment, supporting awareness and adherence to Health
