Senior Quantity Surveyor
East Midlands/West Midlands
Salary-Up to GBP35k plus benefits
Qualifications-HND or degree in Building studies or Quantity Surveying
My client is a fast moving engineering business with exciting growth plans for the next 2 years.
As a result of growth and internal re-organisation, we are looking for Senior Quantity Surveyors for both the East and West Midlands.
You will report direct to a Business Unit Manager and will have 5 years quantity surveying experience preferably at a senior level.
Your role will be varied but will at the high level be to effectively organise and manage the financial elements of contracts to minimise cost expenditure and maximise the opportunities for financial return.
You will oversee all financial and contractual elements of a contract and ensure procedures are continually updated in line with current contractual requirements.You will price all variations to contract and maintain a financial overview on each contract.
You will also ensure that applications for payment are made and draft, issue and agree final accounts after practical completion.
Your negotiation and financial skills will need to be strong as will your contract management skills.You will need to be a leader and have strong influencing and communication skills.
Finally, you need to be down to earth, with a can do attitude and ready to join an exciting business environment where results are rewarded.
