My client is a global manufacturer and supplier of Test & Measurement equipment to the Wireless, RF and Microwave market sectors. They are looking to strengthen their team with a Field Applications Engineer for the South of the UK
The Applications Engineer is responsible for supporting instruments in various technical applications in the UK and Ireland, particularly in the South-East of England. Your main focus will be around RF and Wireless applications where tools like Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Sources and Oscilloscopes are being used.
Following relevant product training, you will be responsible for advising and supporting their sales channel with technical product and applications knowledge and to demo their products and solutions in front of their customers. You will build long term relationships to key accounts and develop specific applications solutions around their instruments
For this position you will have a degree in degree in Electronic Engineering with a main focus on high-frequency engineering and be highly motivated and willing to build technical knowledge to support their customers in RF/Wireless physical layer applications (e.G. WiMAX, WiMedia, DVB-T, UWB, Digital RF, MIMO, Radar) where various digital modulations are being used (e.G. OFDM, *PSK, *FSK).
