My client has gained a reputation for providing high quality goods and services. Since their establishment in 1945 they have shown commitment to manufacturing excellence throughout their diverse business operations, and this approach, along with their vast experience, lies behind the success of their new division.
They currently seek a process technician, to work at their Barking division, working as part of the surface mount team.
Reporting to the Surface Mount Team Leader, the Process Technician will assist management in achieving their objectives and effectiveness in meeting the customer requirements by:
Primarily supporting all engineering aspects of surface mount production, and automated optical inspection (AOI).
Assisting in the support of other electronic manufacturing processes such as wave soldering as required.
Core Responsibilities:
To provide hands on technical support in respect of operation, maintenance and basic fault finding of the manufacturing processes to ensure ongoing efficiency and effectiveness of operation.
To provide documentation in support of the above.
To carry out required Health and Safety inspections in relation to the manufacturing processes and support with documented evidence.
To provide machine programs and tooling for the manufacturing processes.
To provide cover for the Manufacturing Engineers and SM Team Leader in times of absence and peak workload.
Assist in the training of production operators.
Other manufacturing support tasks within the manufacturing function.
Ideally you will have experience of ISO 9000 standards, be able to read circuit diagrams, have general knowledge of maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, 2 years or more in electronic manufacturing environment.
