My client, based in Bedfordshire, is a manufacturer of specialist technologies utilised in process engineering, chemical, power generation and Oil & Gas sectors. Their instrumentation product range involves their own gas sensors and optical sensors, membranes, electronics, hardware, physics and Applied Chemistry. The technology is closely allied to fuel cell technology, intelligent batteries, liquid sensing and materials such as Zirconia and Galvanic. The are experiencing a rapid rate of growth in 2007 and 2008 and seek a handful of technical professional to augment their team.
They currently require a professionally experienced or well qualified academic involving Sensor design for use in gas (ideally) or liquid applications. This role involves analysing the needs of the market and then the actual core physical design of sensors in conjunction with other technical staff. Ideally educated to BSc or MSc level with strong knowledge of sensing, obscure materials, membranes and electrochemistry you will have the capability to put your design ideas into practise with the help of a design office and local and in-house manufacturing facilities.
Base salary circa £40-45k + various benefits
