Our client is a multi-faceted high-technology electronics company that designs, develops, manufactures and markets a diverse range of microelectronic and test, measurement and microelectronic solutions for the aerospace, defence and broadband communications markets.
Our client are looking for a PCB test technician to maintain the delivery of tested PCB’s to FU3’s KanBan and the manufacturing cells by ICT testing and repairing PCB’s manufactured within the department.
Day to day responsibilities include testing complex PCB’s using in circuit test equipment, fault finding failed PCB’s to component level. To repair diagnosed faults to soldering standards and program pals, proms and CD’s using various methods and equipment when required. To print various types of labels to forecast load using thermal X1 series printing machine and to interact with manufacturing and support teams to solve unpredictable problems and situations found in a manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in a production test environment and will be educated to HNC level. Candidates must have a good understanding of processes used for manufacturing SMT and conventional PCB’s.
The individual must be able to carry out repairs involving removal and replacement of conventional SMT components to IPC standards and be able to fault find to component level on complex SMT PCB’s.
The candidate must be a strong communicator, a team player and have good problem solving skills.
