My client is a forerunner and leading provider of complete semiconductor and modular solutions for digital multimedia products. Their devices are at the heart of all-in-one DAB and DVB-T set top box receivers, offering television and multimedia content through mobile phones, PDAs and in car entertainment systems. They are now seeking a Senior Software Engineer for full lifecycle development of software to enable use of the companys DVB-T and multimedia SoCs in high-volume consumer electronics products. This role includes specific responsibility for embedded DVB application software such as user interfaces, STB middleware, PVR software, etc Candidates will be experienced in developing embedded application software with a minimum of 5 years experience of software engineering in the semiconductor, consumer electronics industries. Excellent C/C++ programming and experience of UNIX/Linux cross development tools e.g. make, GCC and CVS is a must. Previous experience in DAB and DVB is desirable but not essential.
