My client based in Sussex is one the world's leading brands involving a mixture of chemical technology, automation & high level electronics and have an enviable range of proprietary technology and best-in-class services. Continued demand in the UK, continental Europe and South East Asia has led to the requirement for additional professionals including an Installation & Test Engineer.
Working with small multi-disciplined teams you will be involved in all aspects of installing, testing and commissioning PLC controlled machinery. With a background testing and installing complex PLC controlled machinery and capital equipment you will be aware of relevant regulations and fault find before handover.
Possibly educated to at ONC/ HNC level in a suitable engineering subject you will be able to demonstrate at least 5 years commissioning and installation experience particularly regarding PLC systems and automation machinery. Additionally knowledge of mechanical systems, motion control, Autocad and general fault finding knowledge would be advantageous. An element of flexibility is required as an estimated 20% of your time will involve travelling to sites including occasional overseas travel to Scandinavia and Singapore.
