My client are a globally successful company who specialise in designing and manufacturing cutting edge products for the Audio - Visual industry.
Purpose of position:
Working to a design brief, to develop complex electronic designs in schematic form and complex FPGA designs using VHDL design language. To commission, debug and complete these designs to a production status.
To adapt and modify existing schematic and FPGA designs and IP to produce new products variants.
Primary Responsibilities and duties will include:
To design and implement FPGA system functions using VHDL. To simulate and model their behaviour to a sufficient degree prior to implementation in hardware, to ensure rapid commissioning.
To design complex, high speed electronic circuits using CAE design tools, including FPGAs and other components.
To contribute to and promote the successful completion of projects in the context of a multi-disciplinary team.
Skills:
In depth knowledge of VHDL and FPGA technology, minimum 5 years experience including at least 2 years serious VHDL.
Thorough knowledge of complex electronic circuits, including high speed digital design, at least 5 years experience.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
