Analogue/RF IC Designer required for an Oxford based fabless semiconductor company developing CMOS chipsets for wireless digital broadcast applications (digital TV, digital radio, DVB, DAB) aimed at the portable products market (e.g. Personal media players, mobile phones etc). Their product range covers radio comms frequencies from VHF to satellite 5GHz.
The role requires design experience of low-power RF analogue IC circuit designs through the complete design cycle from design, simulation, layout, testing and mass-production. Knowledge of Cadence design tools (or similar) for schematic entry, simulation (Spectre & SpectreRF) and layout (Virtuoso Layout, Assura DRC, LVS & RCX) tools is required.
You will join a small design team where you can take full responsibility for your designs and feel the satisfaction of realising your positive contribution to the growing success of the business. It is also key that you have good analytical and communication skills with both the ability to work in a team and also autonomously. As well as an excellent rewards and benefits package the company also offers flexi-working (both in daily hours and also the ability to work from home a day or so per week).
Please note this is an RF IC design position, applications that only demonstrate general RF board-level design won't be processed without supporting evidence of IC design.
