Our client is global leader in the design and manufacture of embedded semiconductors for automotive, industrial, communications, wireless, consumer and networking applications.
As part of a key EMEA engineering operation, the Applications Group is responsible for in-depth pre and post sales technical liaison, support and advice. This varied and dynamic role involves significant technical challenge and responsibility with some of the world's leading names in comms and works on project both from the office and on customers site throughout the EMEA region. T
Applicants should be able demonstrate a thorough grounding in embedded software development environments (C knowledge essential) , have good hardware appreciation (interfaces, processors etc) and really understand the embedded development process. Any knowledge of telecoms systems (ATM, Ethernet, TCP/IP VoIP etc.) And DSP technologies would be ideal. Experience of wireless access and core infrastructures are definite advantages( ie MAC/RLC/RRC/ Cryto processing and tunnelling protocols like GTP). Network security experience (firewall/VPN) is also beneficial.
As customer interface and some travel is involved with this role, applicants who enjoy the variety and dynamism of working with people would be particularly attracted to this fast moving role within one of the world's premier semiconductor manufacturers.
