Customer Support Engineer, Scotland
One of the UK's leading companies in their field, our client is seeking an experienced Customer Support Engineer covering Scotland. They operate within the medical device and services environment and have offices worldwide and distribution channels in over 100 countries.
This field based role will offer support to customers throughout Scotland and NE England. The primary function will involve a mix of fault find, repair, regular maintenance and installation of new kit. Although experience of working in medical equipment environments is desirable, current experience of working with PC based equipment is essential. You should have strong experience of supporting PC based equipment and able to diagnose faults down to boards and sub assemblies level (power supplies, hard disk drives etc).
You should be based in Central Scotland and will be competent arranging your own daily schedule to ensure that customers are supported and their equipment if fully maintained and operational.
Key Competencies Required:
Ability to work with minimum supervision providing both service and user support.
A keen focused mind to diagnose customer problems.
Good communication skills with both customers and colleagues
Good degree of commercial awareness
Experience gained in customer focused service organisation maintaining sophisticated electronic hardware and software.
