Redline requires an experienced Project Engineer for our client -within oil and gas - Aberdeen.
This role will be to manage and coordinate projects from customer liaison through system design to manufacture, installation and commissioning of complete systems, for use primarily in offshore drilling rigs.
The duties will include, but not be limited to,
Liaison with Clients/Senior Engineer to ensure an accurate interpretation of project requirements
Design, installation and commissioning of analogue and digital instrumentation and systems for both safe and hazardous areas using approved component building blocks
Carry out worldwide offshore surveys for clients and prepare reports based on survey findings
On-site fault finding, repair and modification of instrumentation systems
Assessment of cost and time implications of design changes/new designs
Preparation of system FDS, commissioning and Technical manual documents
Efficient use of technician, technical clerk, and drafting resources to perform hardware manufacture, panel wiring, FAT, etc
Travelling as required on an occasional basis, rather than regular rota, to external locations both onshore and offshore (predominantly but not exclusively North Sea)
Other general duties as required
Applicants must have previous experience of working in the project design engineering field, with particular knowledge of hazardous area design considerations be educated to Degree/HND level in a technical discipline
And have experience of PLC (Allen Bradley) and SCADA (Intellution) systems. Be computer literate including familiarity of computer networks, practical experience in build. Previous CAD/engineering drawing experience useful
Offshore work experience and current certification.
