US Manufacturer of Semiconductor devices including Power IC's and Sensor devices. In the UK, you will be part of a small team of experienced engineers, designing advanced analogue/mixed-mode power control IC's (motor drives, motor control and power interface) for a broad range of product applications (office automation (particularly printers), industrial, automotive and portable electronics markets). Utilising the latest Cadence design tools on HP workstations for design, layout and verification and backed by the US Design Automation group, my client takes designs from product definition through the design and layout phases to the lab evaluation of devices.
Currently seeking an experienced IC Layout Engineer. You should have at least 2/3 years experience working with bipolar, BiCMOS and BCD processes and with IC layout tools such as Cadence or Mentor Graphics design tools. The role contains a high degree of autonomy, hence the individual should be self motivated and proactive. A HND+ would be useful, but of greater emphasis is put on "time served experience".
