Redline are currently recruiting for a Senior Electronic Technician to be based in Aberdeen. Our client is a high technology oil and gas drilling Service Company specializing in directional drilling, measurement-while-drilling and logging-while-drilling operations.
The Senior Electronic Technician will assist with the build, test, maintenance and repair of drilling and electronic equipment. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Maintain reports, records and assist in developing parts lists, test procedures and documentation to manufacture, build, test equipment.
Advise equipment requirements with regard to spares and replacements.
Responsible for training new recruits and apprentices.
Responsible for ordering workshop parts.
Upon request you may be as required, travel to overseas locations throughout the world to provide technical maintenance support.
It is expected you will be computer literate and have the ability to work on your own initiative with little or no supervision. You will have minimum HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
