Our client is an exciting semiconductor company developing parallel processing solutions for high compute and high bandwidth applications. They can offer the dynamic feel of a start-up organisation but with several years R&D already invested into the company they are developing significant market traction.
They seek a Software Engineer with a degree in computer science / computer systems engineering, or an engineer with a few years relevant experience. Candidates will have a strong interest and experience in computer architectures and low-level programming and would also have some experience of LabView and JTAG.
A key area for a fabless chip manufacturer is developing software to enable test houses to verify that chips are fully functional prior to shipment to customers and/or attachment to boards. This role is key to achieving this and will include duties such as developing board test programs, embedded initialisation, self test, soak test and diagnostic software for their parallel general-purpose processor.
