Due to high levels of growth throughout the company, our client is urgently looking to fill a vacancy for a Project Manager (Electronic Equipment).
The successful candidate will be a graduate in an electronics/software engineering or related discipline and ideally will be able to offer further qualifications in System Design Engineering or Project Management. You will join a team of experienced hardware and software design engineers and take responsibility for the project management of design, development and manufacturing projects, reporting to the company Projects Manager.
The essential core skills required for consideration for this role are:
* Minimum 4 years' experience of electronic equipment design
* Demonstrable project management experience of a complete design, development, manufacturing programme
* Experience of successful interface management of customers and clients
* Management within an ISO9000 quality environment
In addition, demonstrable experience of any of the following supplementary skills will also be of value and taken into consideration:
* Full life-cycle development experience
* An innovative approach to solving project issues coupled with excellent problem solving skills
* Production and presentation of reports to Senior Management
* A desire to keep up to date with the latest technology and management techniques
The successful candidate will have a solid academic background with a good degree in Electronic Engineering or other related discipline, and be able to demonstrate good problem solving experience and implementation of design solutions. You will be able to offer post graduate training in Project Management or System Design Engineering and will ideally hold qualifications in one of these disciplines.
To make a real contribution to the team we expect you to be a self-motivated person capable of working under pressure, have a good analytical mind and be able to demonstrate good project management skills. You will have an established track record of programme delivery to time and budget. You will also be expected to be responsible for the quality aspects of your projects, adhering to the company Quality Procedures under their ISO 9000 accredited system.
Our client is able to offer a comprehensive package of salary and benefits. Starting salary will be up to £35,000 depending on experience. Additionally the company pays a twice-yearly profit and performance related bonus. The company will pay you what you prove you are worth by your contribution to the business. You can expect to be rewarded for good work and the six monthly performance/profit bonus ensures that you are able to share in the overall success of the company. A company pension scheme also exists providing multiple levels of company contribution on the employees' behalf. Finally, a salary related life insurance scheme is also in place.
