Optical Designers, North Wales, optics, optoelectronics, CodeV
In this role you will be responsible for the design of a very wide range of optical products.
You will be involved in all stages of the design process, including defining target specifications with the customer, development of concepts, detailed design and analysis, through to support of the manufacturing, assembly and test processes.
Candidates will require at least a good degree in Physics, or a relevant engineering discipline, although a Master's degree in optics would be of considerable advantage. A strong interest in the design of advanced optical systems is essential. In addition to this, relevant post-graduate experience in using CodeV or similar for the design of complex optical systems would be beneficial.
Due to the nature of the work, we would generally require candidates to fulfil the following criteria:
You must be a born or naturalised British citizen and one of your parents must be a British citizen or have substantial ties to the UK. Candidates must normally have been resident in the UK for 10 years immediately prior to their application; this is particularly important if you were born outside the UK.
