Mechanical, DFM/DFA, Solidworks, Sheet metal, Plastic moulding, Full project cycle
My client is a market leader in the development, design, integration and management of advanced surveillance technology and security networks.
They are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with Solidworks and experience in a mechanical design environment. The candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a mechanical design environment and will preferably be degree qualified in an engineering discipline. Candidates must be capable of leading mechanical enclosure design and be able to lead through the full design cycle from concept-prototype-pre-production to volume production.
You must have experience of Solidworks, thermal modelling (using Cosmas, Solidworks or others) and be familiar with production techniques including, extrusion, die casting, sheet metal and moulding.
Candidates must be prepared this is a very hands-on role and not a managerial role.
