A unique opportunity has arisen to join one of the world's leading brands involving a mixture of chemical technology, automation & high level electronics and have an enviable range of proprietary technology and best-in-class services. Continued demand in the UK, continental Europe and South East Asia has led to the requirement for additional professionals including a Commodity Manager to based in Shoreham By Sea.
As a Commodity Manager, you will develop / implement sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts and supply agreements for indirect products and services in collaboration with other functional business departments. You will have responsibility for developing commodity strategies, managing key supplier and stakeholder relationships, identifying opportunities through spend analysis, justifying and mobilising resources to deliver benefits from strategic sourcing, LCC sourcing, demand management, e procurement, contract compliance, SRM as applied to the companies' indirect spend profile.
Key skills/experience:
Significant purchasing experience, with time spent within a Commodity/Category Management or Sourcing role within indirect products and services for a large multinational multi site organisation.
Preferably has direct experience in many of the following categories, contract labour, utilities, insurance, travel, facilities management, IM, telecoms, MRO supplies.
Ideally candidates will be qualified to a degree level in a related discipline and holds a CIPS qualification
