Performance and Planning Engineer to work on Naval / Defence project for 3 month contract in Bristol paying up to GBP250 / day. Applicants must have a background in Naval, Defence or similar discipline. You will work to instil set of Performance / Planning disciplines across the geographically complex Platform Directorate whilst assisting delivery of the Platform to time, cost and quality. As part of a delivery team, on behalf of Engineering Managers, produce an integrated Master Schedule Network of activities / tasks (Level 0, 1, 2, 3 and below) required for the appropriate implementation of Earned Value and the execution to time, cost and quality of the overall Platform scope of work. With Engineering Manager, on behalf of Performance and Planning Manager, facilitate the implementation of project controls and reporting. i.e. establishment of a PMB and appropriate Earned Value Measurement. Duties include ensuring resources are adequately and accurately defined / optimised in skills and quantities; authorised budget is allocated accordingly; critical path is established, understood, agreed and monitored; adequate scoping / preparation of CAM Statements of Work (SoW); scheduling and resourcing of work (including RMOs) at level 3 and below; facilitate change resulting from the relevant CCBs and facilitate change proposals to relevant CCBs; on-schedule collation / approval / delivery of various contract / design / phase review and MoD deliverables and reports.
