Mechanical Development & Test, Hants, prototype, durability, analysis, stress, hydraulics, instrumentation, data acquisition
Main Duties
To test components, systems and complete products and to prepare clear and concise technical reports.
Management of Prototype builds and coordination of workshop staff.
To coordinate the activities of the durability assessment team including the maintenance of problem logs and to report progress/issues at regular team meetings.
Management of test report database to ensure compliance to relevant directives.
To coordinate and execute field trial programmes at customer sites.
To organise and perform rig based testing.
To investigate and report on competitors' products.
To maintain high levels of quality and reliability for new products by using the latest development/analysis techniques.
To propose and implement test regimes along with associated timing plans.
To liaise with specialist consultants e.G. Test Houses.
Skills and Experience
Specialist knowledge in either, mechanics/electronics/stress analysis/hydraulics will be of particular interest.
Proven experience of developing products in a similar environment.
Experience of instrumentation and Data Acquisition.
University/College based technical qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or related subject.
