Engineer - Printing Technology
£25k-£30k

The role is for an engineer engaged in the development of proprietary ink jet printing technologies, with particular involvement in the development of ink supply and maintenance systems.
The specific responsibilities are:
· Design and specification of ink supply components
· Assembly, test and debugging of special-purpose ink supply test systems
· Experimental evaluation of ink supply components and systems
· Designing, specifying and evaluating fluid sensors and instrumentation
· Design, manufacture and commissioning of printhead test system hardware
· Maintenance of system documentation
· Supplier liaison and purchasing
· Preparation for and conducting client demonstrations
Candidates must have:
· A 1st or 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent) in engineering
· A minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in a commercial development environment
· Experience in the design, development and testing of fluid handling and control systems
· 3D CAD experience
· Hands-on laboratory and mechanical workshop skills
· Ability to communicate and present work to colleagues and clients
· Ability to work flexibly to achieve tight deadlines
In addition, the ideal candidate would have:
· Demonstrable commercial awareness
· Ability to negotiate with suppliers to meet specification, delivery and cost targets
· Experience with industrial ink-jet systems
