RF Contractor to develop a 900 MHz pico BTS and an 850 MHz variant to the relevant standards. Experience of transmitter development for a GSM product (MS or BTS) is essential and knowledge of receiver development is desirable as development of this section of the BTS is also required. Applicants must have proven circuit design, development and testing skills are needed as the BTS is to be based upon an existing approved DCS / PCS unit. There will be some system design work associated with the change in band. You must have excellent knowledge of the RF aspects of GSM: especially the requirements and methods described in GSM 05.05 and GSM 11.21 (or GSM 11.10). This contract is for 9 months and is paying iro GBP35 / hour.
