Electronic Technicians
CONTRACT POSITION:
1 Technician immediately for 2 months, possible extension for 6 to 9 months
2 Technicians from March 04 for 9 months
3 contract positions for Electronics Technicians for small-batch and pre-production manufacture of an electro-surgical generator and accessories.
Duties:
Kitting and hand assembly of first off sample and small batch pcbs using leaded components and some surface mount components
Manufacture by hand of cable assemblies using mostly insulation displacement type connectors
Electro-mechanical assembly; for example, assembly and interconnection of pcb sub-assemblies, cables and mechanical parts into a chassis
Essential Skills:
Ability and motivation to work efficiently to a high standard with minimal supervision as part of a small team working to a strict deadline
Ability to work primarily from documentation and to communicate effectively with co-workers, design engineers and managers any apparent errors or difficulties in meeting requirements
Experience in the manufacture of medical devices and/or of other electronic devices within a strict quality and regulatory control environment
Flexibility to work effectively within a fast-changing environment
Desirable Skills:
Experience and ability to conduct basic electronic testing according to established routines and protocols on sub-assemblies and final products
Experience in creating orders from Bills of Materials and placing orders for component parts from supplierswww.globefolio.com
