Software development is carried out in C and C++, in a mixed environment including Windows (PC based) and UNIX workstations. The work requires an involvement in all aspects of the software development lifecycle from initial prototyping and specification through design, implementation, testing and documentation.
Essential
Good engineering or software based degree (2.1 or above)
C and C++ programming within a UNIX workstation and preferably MS Windows (PC) environment
Min. 3 yrs relevant commercial experience.
Desirable
Formal, structured programming experience.
OOA/OOD experience
Strong mathematical skills and an interest in algorithm development
Experience of interactive, graphical applications.
Experience of relational databases - especially Informix.
Experience of data translation projects and/or software interfacing (data)
Data modelling experience and an understanding of complex data structures
