Our client currently seeks a Production Support Co-ordinator to join a very busy technical support department within their expanding engineering firm. The department manager has formed a productive and successful department over the last years and is looking for a strong team player with the ability to continue to move the department forward.
The ideal candidate will be experienced, flexible and confident both with dealing on the phone with customers and suppliers and with dealing face to face with staff from all areas of the business.
The role will involve you in dealing with suppliers, internal departments and customer queries, as well as providing the following services:
* First point of contact for customers.
* Taking customer spares enquiries, quoting P&D and monitoring to dispatch and invoice.
* Procurement of specialised items.
* Preparing and presenting major spares quotations for new build machines.
* Preparation of delivery and export documentation.
* Making worldwide travel arrangements for the service engineers.
* Keeping the service schedule up to date.
* Deputising for the Support Manager in his absence.
* Maintenance of customer records, recording machinery modifications etc for future reference, thus liaising closely with the D.O.
* Maintenance of service record sheet.
* Liaison with Materials Controller to ensure availability of regular spares.
* Preparation of weekly departmental reports.
Candidates will be educated to A-Level or equivalent, and must have experience in a technical support role. Key qualities will be:
