JOB PURPOSE
The successful candidate will report to the Technical Function Manager and will be responsible for the Management, surveillance and control of all contracted Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Reliability, Maintainability and Testability (RMT) activities. This will include:-
a) Coordination and supervision of in house ILS and RMT engineers.
b) Providing guidance and subject matter expertise to engineers and managers of other disciplines regarding ILS and RMT issues.
c) Preparation of company strategic ILS and RMT documentation and the provision of subject matter expertise in the production of project specific ILS and RMT documentation.
d) Providing surveillance and control of out-sourced and sub contract ILS and RMT activity.
e) Scheduling and management of out-sourced and sub contract ILS and RMT activity.
f) Interfacing with in-house design teams to ensure that the ILS and RMT disciplines have the required impact on product design.
Liaison with customer ILS and RMT organisations and representation of the company at customer meetings and reviews.
REQUIREMENTS
1 The candidate must be fully conversant with ILS methodologies and have previous experience in the management of ILS activities, both subcontracted and in-house.
2 The candidate must have substantial experience in preparation of Integrated Support Plans (ISP) including key LSA and ILS Element Plans and also directly undertaking ILS activities
3 The candidate should have substantial experience of ILS activities in accordance with DEF-STAN 00-60 series including Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and the production of Logistics Support Analysis Records.
4 The candidate should have experience of AECMA Specification 2000M
5 The candidate must be fully conversant with RMT methodologies and have previous experience in the management of RMT activities, both subcontracted and in-house including reliability and maintainability modeling, allocation and prediction.
6 The candidate should be conversant with the implementation of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
7 The candidate must have substantial experience in the implementation and management of RMT activities in accordance with DEF-STAN 00-40 series.
8 The candidate must be capable of using Microsoft Excel and MS Word and be willing to gain an understanding of bespoke ILS/LSA and RMT software applications and Databases at a level to allow creation, maintenance and reporting of ILS, RMT and related data as per Company procedures.
9 The candidate must be familiar with project planning tools (preferably MS Project)
The candidate must be willing to travel and preferably hold a valid UK driving license.
