AVIONIC SYSTEMS DESIGN ENGINEER
Dorset/Hampshire
Salary £28K to £35K - dependant on capability and experience
Hours: 8.30 to 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 8.30 to 15:45 on Friday.
Occasional requirement to work weekends and or overtime
Holidays: Presently 28 days including public holidays
Opportunity to travel, occasionally international, frequently UK but normally single days
Our client based in Hampshire, specialising in the design of avionic systems, has asked us to recruit an experienced Avionic Systems Design Engineer
Qualifications & Experience sought:
? BSc / HND or equivalent and 5 to 10 years experience in a similar role
? Ideally the candidate will have previous, long term experience in a Design Office Environment pertaining to Avionics or carried out duties as an Avionics Engineer on aircraft maintenance with minimal design experience.
? The candidate would be expected to see through the avionics aspects of a job from cradle to grave.
? Be able to assist in creating job specifications with the customer (civilian or military) and be prepared to survey subject aircraft which can range from non powered sailplanes to the Airbus 380, fixed wing to rotary wing, civil to military.
? Convert the specifications onto documents and drawings using Microsoft Word, Excel, Autocad Light with reference to aircraft manuals.
? Respect time scales for job completion.
? Liaise with engineers installing the modification and with National Authorities and EASA to promote certification.
? Prepare Flight Manual Supplements and test schedules as required and monitor test flights.
? Experience in CVE (Certification Verification Engineer) would be a significant advantage.
The successful applicant will be involved from ?cradle to grave? of each project, the engineer will be expected to work entirely on his own from specifying the task completing the Approved data to send to the Customer, support and guidance is provide by the line manager and all work will be checked and verified by approved signatories in the Company.
