With a HNC/HND/DEGREE or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, a minimum of ten years experience is required as well as experience of working in a contracting organisation or consultancy. Your background will be in the design and installation of industrial electrical, control and instrumentation systems associated with mechanical handling plant and/or process control systems including: LV power distribution and cabling, programmable logic controllers (including knowledge of software specification), SCADA and data logging systems, transducers for monitoring and control and variable speed motor control systems. Knowledge of current codes and standards associated with safety related system design is required.
You must be able to analyse complex systems and state clear and concise requirements and produce supporting calculations as well as having excellent communications skill both written and verbal. You must have a 'can do' attitude and be prepared to work at different European and UK locations for up to a week at a time, sometimes at short notice. A driving licence is essential.
