Software Developer, VC++, C#, ASP.NET, Visual Studio, COM/DCOM (ActiveX), OPC, TCP/IP, Ethernet, Brighton area, Sussex, South Coast.
My client is a global British success story, a £multi-million business with design and manufacturing operations throughout the UK. Currently they are looking for a Software Developer to work on PC level application software used for sub-system remote control/monitoring (utilising in-house custom SCADA-style software).
You will need to be experienced in writing server side software in Visual C++/C# for systems that include data comms (e.g. TCP/IP or ethernet) with inter-component communications using COM/DCOM (e.g. ActiveX), OPC and .NET. This should also ideally be coupled with experience of web development (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, VBScript).
Ideal backgrounds would include remote monitoring, telemetry, instrumentation etc. Please note that you will need to be already fully authorised to work in the UK.
