Test, repair, assembly technician for 6 months contract in Glasgow. Applicants must have 5 years experience in the assembly of complex equipment in a defence environment. You will be required to build, repair and test of equipment from sub assembly to system level, prototype build and test from limited supporting documentation, some fault finding and rectification including wiring harnesses and cable assemblies. You must be able to interpret build information from standard drawings and circuit / wiring diagrams, have knowledge of handling requirements for optical and electrical components and systems, be skilled in the wiring of assemblies and systems and PEC hand assembly, demonstrate level of mechanical assembly and fitting skills and have experience of surface mount technology assembly.
