My client, based in Essex, 10 Miles from Cambridge, are seeking a C and or C++ Software Engineer to join their successful electronics design consultancy team.
Established in 1989 with over 100 staff they are expanding due to their continued success.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the software product life cycle including concept generation, specification, design, implementation, integration, test and in-service support. This will include working with real-time operating systems, graphical interfaces, off the shelf high-technology sub-systems as well as in-house processor driven boards. You should have a reasonable understanding of Software Engineering and should be able to demonstrate an ability to learn quickly so that you can contribute as soon as possible to the Software and Integration teams.
It is Essential that you are proficient in:
C and/ or C++ programming.
Structured analysis and software design methodologies.
Software verification techniques and tools.
Sub system integration and testing.
It is desirable that you have an understanding of:
Operating systems, languages and technology trends
Developing real time embedded software
Communication protocols
RTOS, for example VX Works, VRTX, WIN CE
GUI design
