My client is one of the world's de facto names for Industrial Instrumentation products and manufacturer various product ranges to service every known industrial sectors. The are a constantly evolving business mixing their traditions and substantive brand with the latest engineering techniques and employing some of the brightest engineers in the market. Their products are a blend of electronics, software, physics and chemistry disciplines and therefore there is a constant requirement for technical and scientific staff. Their Sensor Development division employs sensor technologists, hardware engineers and development chemists all typically employed to Masters or PhD level.
The current requirement is for a (sensor) Development Chemist educated to MSc or PhD level in a Chemistry related subject. A minimum of 2 years experience (or relevant university projects towards sensors) is required as well as an appreciation of the associated electronics relating to sensing instrumentation and a good understanding of the practical applications for fluid sensing or gas sensing instruments. Additional strengths in Physics, Mathematics or Optics technology are also desirable. This role requires someone who can work alone and within a tight knit team, demonstrating enthusiasm and initiative. My client prefers candidates that are career driven, ambitious and those that want to work for one of the world's market leaders. My client is based in West England not far from Bristol so we require candidates able to relocate to that area and available for a Summer 2008 start.
Base salary£26-32k + various benefits
