My client are a global provider of communications infrastructure solutions.
They currently require a Project Manager to join their organisation.
Job Purpose
To Manage Broadcast / Digital Switchover installation Projects. This entails overall delivery from project handover to completion/handover, managing the planning and implementation, Financial, labour and plant resources necessary to deliver the project to budget and profit objectives.
To work in line with business stream operational methodologies, performance expectations and resource management strategy, and coordinate with support functions such as Finance, QSE, HR & Commercial.
Duties / Accountabilities:
To manage the overall Broadcast installation project, assuming responsibility for the achievement of financial goals - GM, direct overhead, contribution and balance sheet of the installation activity.
Directly managing the project/programme deliveries for the installation activity. Indirectly managing antenna and structural design, antenna assembly and testing.
Maintaining high degree of customer contact, ensuring that contractual reports and schedules are submitted on time to customer satisfaction through delivery of product and service.
Management of project resources to increase cost efficiency and sustain high levels of Quality and safe workmanship, including subcontractor programme and financial management.
Manage project risk control, proposing considered and informed decisions to be made to manage project and operational risks.
Requirements / Competencies:
Several years project management experience in a telecoms, construction or related sector.
Man-management experience and ability to develop the skill sets of subordinate team.
Financial and commercial acumen including excellent knowledge of P&L management, costing, budgeting, pricing, forecasting and reporting.
