Working in a well established silicon design centre, where you will be supporting an IC design centre's CAD and IT needs. Your responsibilities will include o CAD support (largely Cadence based) for layout/verification and front-end simulation/design capture of mixed signal and RF/analog IC's using a range of CMOS/BiCMOS processes. Other tools used include Synopsis, Avant! etc. o Day to day support a mixed environment computing and networking environment (PC/SUN Unix) of ~20 users o Laptops, email, backups, Microsoft Office/Outlook etc, in-house applications, internet/intranet support, web-design, Linux o Long term planning and budgeting for the IT/CAD needs of the group o Possibly remote support for other sites While the core role is well defined, the specifics and breadth of the role can be tailored to the specific abilities and experience of the successful candidate. This role could therefore be expanded into areas covering support for design validation activities including automation of instrument based measurements, and possibly supervision of design support staff.
