Our client is a leading aerospace manufacturing company based in the South West of England.
They are currently seeking an experienced Principal Rotor Stress Engineer to join their design department.
The Role:
As Senior/ Principal Engineer with specialist knowledge of stress engineering you will be involved with and have responsibility for the following:
~ Carrying out stress calculations of engineering schemes, drawings and related documentation to provide specifications and analysis of structural stress as a company approved signatory
~ Defining structural and operation limit restrictions
~ Carrying out evaluation of new methods, materials and processes
~ Attending design reviews to agree the progress of designs
~ Leading a small project team and ensuring they are able to undertake tasks required by them within cost and time scales
~ Representing Rotor Stress at meetings with other business disciplines, external agencies and regulatory authorities to ensure sufficient awareness and understanding of stress issues.
Candidates:
Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, have at least 5 years' experience within a stress environment and be able to communicate across all levels.
Benefits:
Salary up to GBP36000 overtime
