Gas Turbine Materials Engineer Growth in our Gas Turbine consultancy business is creating new opportunities at ERA. As a result of this we are seeking to recruit an additional member to the team. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of projects providing support to ERA’s clients on operational issues, turbine refurbishment and turbine failure investigations. As a member of the Engineering Consultancy Services group you will work alongside other mechanical engineers, materials specialists and electrical engineers involved in similar and complimentary disciplines. We are looking for a senior engineer with a mechanical or materials engineering qualification (preferably C.Eng) and at least 5 years experience on gas turbine design, manufacturing, commissioning, operation or condition assessment. Experience of hot gas path components and their degradation and repair would be an advantage. As well as working on technically challenging projects you will assist in the development of new business areas working on proposal preparation and costing and providing less experienced staff with the benefit of your knowledge. The role may entail occasional overseas travel.
