Essential functions
- measures and analyzes the performance of the current Solaris networking
solutions including TCP/IP, driver interfaces, kernel cache acceleration,
sockets, web servers, application servers and database servers. Emphasis will
be on horizontal systems.
- Implements solutions based on analysis results and demonstrates performance
improvements on benchmarks and microbenchmarks

Preferred knowledge and skills:
- familiarity with x86 and/or SPARC architectures
- Unix/Linux internals (Preferably Solaris), TCP/IP, sockets, GLD, DLPI
- Strong background in 'C'
- performance analysis and tuning

Other functions:
- code reviews, design reviews, technical presentations, bug fixing
