Operational Systems Manager, London, c. £55K. Operational Systems Manager required to work with the systems architect and key users to design enhancements to the enterprise operational support systems (OSS). You will take managerial responsibility for a development team of about 6 staff.
You must be a technical manager as well as a people manager, delivery focussed and have an understanding of business priorities, plus the ability to learn quickly under your own initiative. You should have a pragmatic and common sense approach to problem solving and be results focused with the ability to build relationships amongst other members of the group.
You should have at least 5 years experience of leading the development of applications using PL/SQL, SQL, ORACLE RDBMS and Java (J2SE) with extensive Knowledge of XML, UNIX and IP Networking. You must also have particularly strong project management skills and experience of delivering incremental solutions with at least 1 to 2 years proven experience, classic programming / design / analysis career structure and have previous small team (5) management experience.
