Responsible for managing the Company’s internal IT function encompassing both support and development. Managing a small team dedicated to resolving user support incidents, desktop/laptop configurations, voice/data communications, network security, backup and recovery, and virus protection. Managing a further small team dedicated to the development of our website, on-line ordering and management information systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for design/implementation of client voice and data connectivity, implementing new projects and providing our IT Committee with initiatives for improving the performance of the IT infrastructure. You will be based in Nottingham supporting sites in Nottingham, London and Manchester. The Candidate Candidates should only apply if they can meet the following criteria: -Proven experience of managing an IT function -Preferably MCSE or CCNA accredited -Demonstrable experience of the following systems/technologies: • HP/Compaq SAN • MS Windows 2000/2003 • MS Exchange 5.5/2003 • MS SQL 7/2000 • Voice & Data Comms Systems (inc Voice over IP) • Meridian Option 11 Telephone System The successful candidate will have worked in the IT industry for a number of years and have a hands-on approach to resolving technical problems and improvement implementation. You will have a professional, conscientious and flexible approach to your work, with excellent logistical and organisational skills. Sometimes working under pressure you will have the ability to respond dynamically to changing events and situations.
