Customworks located in Central Scotland, are a manufacturer of art-based gift products supplying the art and museum market throughout the UK and Europe. Continued expansion has created the opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to develop and manage production systems to ensure best service to our clients. You will have a minimum of 5 years experience in production planning and materials control and will demonstrate a proven ability to develop people and lead change. • You will be an effective communicator with good PC skills and will manage the resources under your charge to provide best service, quality and cost. • You will be committed to the improvement of people, plant process and admin systems and the continuous monitoring of results. This is a key role in which your main responsibilities will be: Production Planning: *Analyse customer orders to drive resource planning *Schedule customer orders across all production processes Quality: *Establish quality standards and carry out regular audits to ensure compliance *Develop and maintain finished product specifications library *Analyse customer technical enquiries and complaints, review with staff,monitor actions and communicate with customers Stock Control: *Compile and maintain accurate stock-control system *Purchase raw materials Team Management: *Establish and develop visible performance measures. *Initiate use of project teams to improve efficiencies and develop team involvement. *Administer holiday requests, collating data to ensure balance of labour. *Monitor conduct and attendance. *Recruitment. Health & Safety: *Work with safety consultant to ensure action plans are implemented. *Understand environmental standards and ensure compliance with legislation.
