The functional area’s are; Business Planning, Sourcing and Supplier Engagement, Supplier Relationship Management, Project Management, Customer Relations.
You will analyse of spend and demand patterns, market conditions and opportunity assessment. Business case development will form a significant part of this activity and you will be able to benchmark prices and service levels and provide advice and guidance to management both, within procurement and beyond, on the most appropriate commercial strategies to deploy.
A major part of this role is to both influence and manage change within the procurement function, improve communications and the reputation of procurement from a wider business prospective.
You will need to have at least 5 years experience in a Supply Chain Management / Procurement or Buying role within a major organisation with high spend responsibility. Additionally you should have significant Change Management experience and be able to demonstrate an ability to influence change while respecting tradition. Ideally you will currently be working in the Retail, Banking, Chemical or Pharmaceutical or Technology area’s and be able to demonstrate your ability to change and influence others by being creative and innovative and able to develop a “better way of doing things”
Equally important is a solid understanding of the need for both quality management as well as H & S issues.
While formal educational qualifications are not essential you should be able to demonstrate a good academic background and continued personal development.
A generous package is being offered with a base salary of between £30,000 / year to £50,000 / year plus significant benefits, subsidised restaurant, fitness gym, pension, holidays etc
