Our client is a private limited company, which has been successfully involved in the design and manufacture of high integrity industrial and military process monitoring and control systems for more than 40 years. They have an enviable record for product and systems design, innovation and quality established over a wide industrial and military customer base. Their Quality Assurance procedures are approved to BS EN ISO standards 9001-2000 and TickIT. Ambitious growth plans for the next two years focus on extending our products and services to the existing customer base and developing new channels into the marketplace. Reporting to the company directors, you will focus on developing and implementing a new business strategy geared to board level initiatives and commercial sales opportunities with major consultants, government departments, utilities, manufacturers and service providers. Having secured the business, you will also be responsible for the ongoing account management directly or through the existing sales team. Initially, you will focus on the UK marketplace, but once the strategy is in place and proven, you will roll it out in selected export markets. Your ability to turn new ideas into profitable business will be key to driving forward the companys growth plans. To fulfill this demanding role, you will need to demonstrate a proven track record of originating, negotiation, managing and maintaining new partnerships with major customers, exceeding challenging targets and developing the team culture within a sales department. You will need to display entrepreneurial skills, drive and enthusiasm for business success and the ability to work as part of a small and enthusiastic management team. Success will be rewarded by an attractive salary package and the opportunity of promotion within the management team.
