SALES ENGINEER
£ 30,000 + Bonus + Car + Benefits SOUTHERN UK
Summary:
We require an experienced Field Sales Engineer to manage and develop both existing and targeted customers in the South of the UK. The customer base comprises End Users, Contractors, LAs, Hire Companies and other Distributors. The core product range is Mobile On-Board Power applications and Access Platforms. The ideal candidate will be a professionally trained Sales person with strong technical aptitude or qualifications.

Our client is an International Market leader in the manufacture, sales and service of Compressors, Blowers and Pumps for Industrial and Petroleum applications. The business is growing aggressively and has secured two new acquisitions in 2004 to strengthen its dominant market position and build turnover to in excess of $600m. In 2004 alone the business has seen sales revenue increase by around 50%.
Role:
The Field Sales Engineer will take responsibility for successfully growing sales revenues and developing the customer base throughout the South of England & Wales specifically for our On Board Power Systems and Access Platform product ranges. You will be dealing with multi level contacts from shop floor to boardroom and working with a dedicated internal team while reporting directly to the Sales Manager.
Journey & call planning will be your responsibility with quality rather than quantity providing the key measure.
Sales targets and other management objectives will be set in line with both UK and Corporate objectives.
Key Skills/Experience:
At least 2-3 years successful sales track record in a Technical product/solution arena
Professional and structured sales training
Proficient and developed IT skills
Experienced in both Presentations and Demonstrations
Excellent organisation/time management skills
A strong, clear and fluent communicator, able to report efficiently and factually
A sociable and personable character able to work & influence at all levels
Highly self motivated and able to work independently
Results oriented passionate about selling and developing relationships.
Location:
The job is home based with one day per week in our Southern office. Ideal location would be central M4 corridor but anywhere with comfortable access to the major Southern road networks will be manageable.
